The club shares a close relationship with Fleet Feet Montclair (603 Bloomfield Ave, Montclair) supporting the local running community and promoting good health and fitness. Upcoming Events:

  • Santa Stampede / Running on Coffee, Cocoa and Holiday Cheer (Sun, Dec 15 at 8:00am): Join Fleet Feet Montclair and Brooks in running off the holiday craze and bringing in the holiday spirit and celebration. Take on 3 miles and enjoy post-run cookies, cocoa and coffee. The store will opening early to give you an opportunity to beat the rush and get in some before-hours shopping. Complimentary Santa costumes (100 adult and 50 youth) to wear on our jolliest jog of the year! Costumes will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis at check in on event day. 100% of registration proceeds will be donated to Montclair Emergency Services for Hope (MESH) to support their Overnight Winter Respite program. 

  • New Year's Day Resolution Run (Wed, Jan 1 at 8:30am): Annual group run on New Year’s Day starting from Fleet Feet and heading up Snake Hill to the Overlook in Eagle Rock Reservation. It's a perfect spot to reflect on the past year and look to the year ahead! Afterwards there will be coffee and light refreshments back at the store. Registration will open in early December.

  • Winter Warrior Challenge (Wed, Jan 1 - Fri, Feb 28): We’re back again with the 5th year of the Winter Warrior Challenge, presented by Brooks. You’re gonna be cold; you’re gonna stay active; and the more you move, the more you're gonna be rewarded. Complete workouts, collect badges and earn swag to celebrate your achievement. Sign up by Sun, Dec 1 to receive the $10 early bird discount. After Dec 1, club members can enter Promo Code ERC10 to receive the $10 ERC discount.

2025 Spring Training Programs:

Registration is now open for these 2025 spring training programs. We will also have a Spring No Boundaries 5K training program starting in April.

  • 2025 Spring Half Marathon Training (Sat, Feb 1 - Tue, Apr 8): Our 10-week Half Marathon Training program, meeting twice a week, will help you build your distance throughout the tough winter months. The training schedule is in line with the third annual Jersey City Half Marathon on Sunday, April 13, 2024. Stay accountable and motivated with a training plan complete with daily assignments for running, walking, cross training, and recovery. Work with experienced Fleet Feet coaches and mentors on speed, endurance, running mechanics, fueling, hydration, and more. 

  • 2025 Spring 10K Beyond Boundaries (Sat, Feb 8 - Wed, Apr 2): Our 8-week 10K training program is a great next step up from our 5K and 8K programs. Whether you want to maintain your current fitness level, continually challenge your endurance, or develop a solid foundation in the hopes of training for a PR, a future half or full marathon, this is the program for you! Our goal race is the Cherry Blossom 10k on Sun, Apr 6 in Branch Brook Park.

Weekly Group Runs:

Thursday Night Fun Run / Walk: Meet up at Fleet Feet at 6pm. Friendly social group for walkers or runners and a great way to meet new friends. Bring family, friends, co-workers or come alone. All paces are welcome and you can run or walk as little or as much mileage as you want. Most people start out on a 3 mile route down Midland Ave with a loop around Edgemont Park but you can turn around sooner if you want a shorter walk / run. Some people also extend the run up to 6 miles with a second loop on North Mountain, Watching and Midland Ave. Route maps are available here.

Sunday Morning Group Run: Meet up at Fleet Feet at 7am. All paces and distances welcome. Popular with people training for longer distance events especially during the summer and fall. Various distances and paces through the streets of Montclair to Edgemont Park, Anderson Park and Brookdale Park including popular routes of 3, 5, 7 and 8.5 miles. Route maps are available on the Running Routes page on the ERC web site. These meet-ups are not usually guided by Fleet Feet staff but there are Supported Long Runs on some Sunday mornings in the spring, summer and fall with aid stations at Fleet Feet and Anderson Park.
